About The Filmmaker, Doug Wolens
After earning two BA degrees, a law degree, and spending seven years as a practicing attorney, Doug Wolens became a filmmaker in 1993. Wolens has written, produced, directed, shot, and edited all his films. The feature-length Butterfly was shot on film and edited on a home computer. He is currently developing a new feature documentary emphasizing the convergence of information technology with the "old industrial economy." Wolens is a Chicago native and a graduate of the University of Oregon and Seton Hall University Law School.
